Wed, 14 May 2008 02:06:48 PDT
I just saw a news article about this and thought it was a great idea. Looks like the New York Movers with those big orange trucks are going green. In today’s world, it’s nice to see that moving companies are trying to do their part....

Wed, 14 May 2008 02:06:51 PDT
I have thought long and hard about luck and following all this hype around the concept Sarah Lacy is promoting ‘Once Your Lucky, Twice You’re Good’. Well, I disagree with her assertion! Back in my ‘naive days’ I would have argued vigorously that one doesn’t need luck at all, instead innovation, logic, elegance, brutal hard work and a twist of magic were the ingredients essential for success. This would have been while I was building my first empire. During that experience I didn’t get very ric

Coming Soon to a Book Store Near You: Charlie Kaufman and Hollywood's Merry Band of Pranksters, Fabulists, and Dreamers

Wed, 14 May 2008 02:08:19 PDT
It was only a matter of time... In recent weeks, I have, admittedly, regressed back into a Charlie Kaufman state-of-mind. It's been four years since the domestic release of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and well, I've almost forgotten about how much I love Kaufman - until now. A quick Googl

Wed, 14 May 2008 02:12:24 PDT
If you are looking to do community news online or have a placeblog, you might want to attend the Journalism that Matters Conference in Minneapolis –June 4-6, 2008. The former is an organization dedicated to open source coding and content for creative technologists, designers, artists, musicians, scientists (and more!), and promotes access and re-mixing through distribution licenses that are alternatives to copyright worldwide. The latter (iCommons) is an international community of the same types, all of whom may use or promote CC, copyfight, pir

Wed, 14 May 2008 02:14:13 PDT
I’ve posted various metrics about BookMooch before, using numbers from the BookMooch Statistics page. Today, I decided to take all the monthly web logs, combine them into a big excel file, and see what that looks like.
