Dix Hills, NY - Dr. Harvey Finkelstein, the physician who the state DOH says put thousands of patients at risk by reusing syringes, has settled a medical malpractice lawsuit with a Syosset man who claimed he got hepatitis C in the doctor's office. The financial settlement marks the first resolution of several lawsuits filed after a DOH investigation found that Peter Mattmuller, 66, had been infected in Finkelstein's office. A French court Max Mosley hoped would help him build his case to stay on as FIA president amid the current controversy over his private life, has failed to rule in his favour saying it has no power to ban the British tabloid newspaper the News of the World from continuing to post a video of Mosley's sexual antics on its web site.
